He was so important to Alcoa’s success all season. His competitive edge and fire helped when the boys needed him most.
The girls had such a great season as well. They were runner up in the Regional Championship game and District Championship game. They won Substate at McMinn Central sending them to the State Tournament where they made it to the final four for the first time in 38 years.

She was All District Tournament Team and TSSAA All Tournament Team (based on teams in the state tournament).Ainsley Pfeiffer is a junior forward who, like her sister, could not play until the tournaments started. She was named to the All Region Tournament Team and played a major role in the success of the Lady Tornadoes this post-season!Lauren Martin is a Freshman sharpshooter who got a ton of minutes this season off the bench. Her spot-up shooting was vital to the lady Tornadoes success. She like many other of our AAW kids will have bright futures for a long time at Alcoa High School.Keylee McNear is a sophomore defensive specialist who contributed by being the hype man for the Lady Tornadoes late in the season. She brings constant energy and helps challenge our team defensively. She will be needed to keep the spirits up within the group.
We are so incredibly proud of these students for their impressive accomplishments this basketball season, but we are even MORE proud of the young leaders they are and the good character they display in their every day lives!! WE LOVE OUR AAW FAMILY!
